That’s it, Jeux de Neige at Grenoble just started todat. Definitively weather didn’t join the party, it rained today and also ice tonight I’ll do my best to publish few pictures when possible. I’ll drop them in that gallery

A little hello today at very nice community of Skipass that is now fully part of strong values of Grenoble and all found skiers in and around Grenoble. A nice reading for all afficionados of famous: In Tartiflette We Trust that all Grenoble locals have to know !

Here we are wednesday november 26th 2008 at partial and anticipated opening of 7 Laux ski resort Snow at superior part of domain is very enjoyable (powder and fresh). Weather is cold at top but very enjoyable at sunny places and above fog.

Pano done in January 17th 2008 at Alpe d’Huez Ski Resort, french alps, at place named Lac Blanc / Fontbelle.

I enjoyed a great morning ski session that week on friday in Alpe d’Huez. Snow was really good, weather very sunny and not too much people on slopes. You can see my session here on SportsTracker, don’t consider altitude as there is something definitively wrong as I never went till 3800m high, top of Alpe d’Huez is 3303m !

A short walk this morning to discover snow falls of these last few days Unless grey weather and sky, I walk in snow till knees at bottom of slopes at 7 Laux, pretty impressive and hope it’s just the begin

For change, here is a quick pano done two days ago at Place Dubedout, just in front of Porte de France bridge (it was for an architectural project for my husband). It’s main entry by road from Lyon in Grenoble. You’ll see also bubbles of lift to Bastille and Bastille’s Castle.

Here is one of my first panoramic on Alpe d’Huez Ski Resort. Shots made on 12/12/2007, very sunny day and bunch of powder !
Shots taken at diner area near arrival station of DMC II lift, with Canon 350D and lens 10/22 setup at focal length 10mm and f/22, fixed on Nodal Ninja 3 head and Manfrotto 300N rotation tool for precise angles. Complete panorama built with 38 shots. A minor adjustment of nodal point need to be done as you’ll notice some wrong things on near objects (tables, and skis).

DMC II 2700m December Winter 2007/2008
